Hereford manager Josh Gowling had said he was disappointed in the way Jaanai Gordon left Edgar Street earlier this week. The striker turned down an improved offer from the club and is said to be considering a deal to link up with Brackley.
"I would have liked a bit more loyalty but that's life," said Gowling as reported by BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"We sat down with him and said what do you want to do.
"He said speak to his agent.
"We're in the National League North, we're not in the Premier League.
"I've had a serious conversation with the lads because it happened with Zeli (Ismail) and now it's happened with Jaanai.
"Sometimes the lads don't want to speak about money or this or that.
"I'd like to think we have a real good relationship with all our lads.
"So all I ask the lads is, moving forward, if you've got an issue with anything or they are thinking about doing something different or leaving, call me and have a conversation with me."
