Hereford Chairman Jon Hale With Colin Addison and John Motson |
Hereford FC board are set to discuss next season's budget after calls from manager Josh Gowling that he would like to consider offering deals to keep players at Edgar Street for the next campaign.
"It's really important that we make plans now," said chairman Jon Hale in an interview on the OS.
"It's been a difficult landscape because crowds have been a bit up and down especially earlier in the season.
"We've still got Covid issues, that hasn't gone away yet.
"But at the same time we're dead keen to make sure that we set down some figures for Josh. He's been very keen to get planning and get players under contract.
"As he has said himself we don't want to get to the summer and have to rebuild the squad again.
"We have a very good core of a squad here who are pushing for the playoffs and if we don't make it this season then next season will be the one.
"It's really important we get on with that process and get a budget fixed best we can then Josh can start his planning and hopefully get some of those players tied down."
