Haines Out Of Hospital After Head Injury

Hereford's Luke Haines has been released from hospital after he received a blow to the head in this afternoon's game against Leamington.

Play was stopped for around ten minutes whilst the defender received attention from medical staff.

He was stretchered off the pitch with a neck brace applied and taken to hospital.

''Would just like to thank the club physio Aaron and the paramedics and other staff pitch side for the quick treatment I received, all very blurry and scary what happened but I do remember the incredible reception I received leaving the field' tweeted Haines.

Later Luke Haines' father tweeted:

'Myself and my wife would like to thank Hereford FC for the tremendous support they gave to both of us as Lukes parents and also the superb medical attention the club gave our son today. Also a massive thank you to our wonderful NHS. Hereford are a great club with great support'.
