Gowling Needs All His Squad To Be Available

One of the biggest disappointments yesterday afternoon was that Hereford manager Josh Gowling could not play his 'best' eleven in the friendly against Bath City.

Both Miles Storey and James Vincent remain unavailable because of delays in getting international clearance for them.

Storey's signing was revealed on June 24th, over six weeks ago, so one has to ask what's has held up the clearance.

Gowling did not have Joey Butlin available either so there wasn't a signed striker on the pitch.

However he did have a center-half on trial which he might sign.

"I've been trying to get one of the lads in for a while and I think he did very well today, so that's a conversation I will have with him after the game."

Gowling admitted he had lost a couple because of money.

"It's a weird one.

"When I was young I did not move anywhere for money, I moved for the opportunity, I wanted to be as high as possible That's me, but maybe that's why I've got no money.

"I've been finding lately with some players it's money but for me it's about the chance to progress your career."

He also spoke about Storey and Vincent.

"You put them in the game today it makes a massive difference, they are a big part of our squad. They are two key signings for us and they've not been available for four games so it's very frustrating.

"I understand the FA with the football league starting today have to put that a priority but we need them in for Saturday.

"They had a lad in from Scotland and he's played today. Interesting.

"I don't deal with the day to day of that stuff, they should be sorted."
