Miles Storey Joins Bulls

Miles Storey is Josh Gowling's latest signing at Hereford.

27 year old Storey is a striker who has recently been playing in Scotland. His last club was Inverness Calendonian Thistle. Reportedly he failed to agree a new deal with them for a third season.

Two weeks ago a club statement said: “The club has also offered a new contract to Miles Storey with head coach Billy Dodds having been in direct contact most recently with Miles last Thursday."

He started his senior career with Swindon in 2011 and had spells out on loan at Salisbury, Shrewsbury, Portsmouth and Newport.

Then in 2015 a move on loan to Inverness.

Released by Swindon he signed for Aberdean in 2016 and a year later joined Patrick Thistle for two season before a return to Inverness.

"He’s a number nine, but he can also play in wide areas, he can play left and right, and something we probably lacked last season was a bit of pace and he’s bringing that," said Gowling.

"He’s a big boy and strong, but he’s got a lot of pace. I’ve got some friends up in Scotland who have said he’s the quickest player they’ve ever seen!"

Storey said he's been looking to get back to English football and knows several of the Hereford squad.

"Josh really sold the place to me, it’s a project and he wants to get the club back to where it was. I really liked the ambition about the place, and I’ve spoken to a couple of lads here who I know, and they’ve said how good it is."

Storey has played for the England U19's.
