Grimes joins National League club

Jamie Grimes has joined Chesterfield after deciding to leave Hereford.

Talking to the Spireites' official website, the central defender said he felt the National League club 'are going in the right direction'.

"I pride myself on being very strong aerially and I like a battle," said Grimes.

"I love a clean sheet and anything else is a bonus."

Chesterfield - who lost to Notts County in the National League Play Off Eliminator - are managed by former Gloucester boss James Rowe.
