Former Hereford United chairman Andy Lonsdale is back in football. Thankfully it's nothing to do with Hereford but he is now a sponsor at Woking.
His company, Lonsdale Consultancy and Demoscapes, has agreed a three year deal to sponsor the new Leslie Gosden Stand at Woking.
Lonsdale was disqualified from being a company director for seven years in 2017 after problems with Lonsdale Construction Services Limited and again in December of last year ‘for conduct while acting for DemowaySite Services Limited’ and is now banned from becoming a director until December 2030.
According to SurreyLive, Lonsdale said this is a really exciting new era for the football club.
"We are thrilled to be part of this journey, we are proud to be involved with this fantastic football club and we’d like to take this opportunity to wish Alan Dowson and everyone connected with the club the best of luck for the 2021/22 season and beyond.
“We share the values of the club when it comes to the community and we are looking to play an active role over the next three years in helping the club progress both on and off the pitch.”
Woking’s commercial director Mick Livesey added: “Andy is an amazing guy, he is really special and his support of the club is huge. Signing a three-year deal is massive for the club.
"I am sure I speak for everyone in thanking Andy and we look forward to promoting his companies across all platforms."
