Information has emerged through National League commentator Ollie Bayliss that the review panel set up to look at the way it was determined what level of funding each club would get made certain suggestions in advance of the third payment to clubs last month.
The panel recommended that 24 clubs would have received increased funding and 30 reduced funding.
Those recommendations were received by the National League before they paid out the December payment.
It appears that the League felt they could not make changes to the amounts as that would not be 'fair, practical or legally possible'.
