Hereford have rejected an approach for star striker Lenell John-Lewis.
It had been rumoured that the former Shrewsbury marksman was interesting Grimsby.
But the Bulls have stated that he remains a Hereford FC player and is not for sale.
However, it looks like Giles Coke is on his way to Grimsby after Hereford waived a seven-day notice for him after receiving an approach from the Mariners.
Bulls boss Josh Gowling told the club's website: "We wish Giles all the best at Grimsby, it’s a fantastic opportunity for him to return to the Football League, and an opportunity that we would not want to stand in the way of.
“On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to thank Giles for his efforts whilst with us and wish him well for the future.”
