Speaking to BBC Hereford and Worcester after this afternoon's 3-3 draw with Kettering this afternoon, Hereford manager Josh Gowling was disappointed that his side had conceded three goals especially after taking the lead. Added to that Kettering went down to ten men mid-way through the second half when former Hereford play Mike McGrath was sent off.
"You go in at half time 1-0 up and controlling the game and you come out second half and you concede a goal from a throw in after a minute," said Gowling.
"Three goals from three lapses of communication. Three times we switched off not communicating properly and they scored three goals from it.
"At this level you can't do that.
"It doesn't matter how good we are on the ball to do things like that.
"Really you score three goals at home you should win the game.
"At the moment we are switching off in certain areas.
"We are controlling the game of football as a whole but there are patches in the game where we are switching off and we are getting punished for it.
"Look at their goals when you watch the goals back, two goals the finishes are excellent.
"We came in at half-time, we spoke about things and wanted to get (another) goal to kill the game off at 2-0.
"But again switching off, complacency possibly. I think we had so much control of the game, I think sometimes you can get a bit complacent and you get punished for it."
Keith Hall asked Gowling about an enforcing midfield player.
"Ben and Yan are injuried so it is what it is, we have got the squad we've got. We haven't got anything to bring anyone else in.
"We've just got to suck it up and concentrate.
"We haven't conceeded three goals today because we haven't got a combative midfielder, we've conceded three goals today because we haven't communicated well enough."
