New role for Ruth Walkden

Ruth Walkden has been appointed as Hereford's new Club Welfare Officer.

Ruth - who runs the live text service for RadioHereford FC - has a wealth of experience in safeguarding.

"I strongly feel it is important that everyone involved with Hereford FC feels comfortable, free and able to enjoy the game," said Ruth, as reported on Hereford's official website.

"My aim is to ensure that everyone who plays for, works for, volunteers at and watches Hereford FC feels comfortable and safe at all times, and if they have any safeguarding concerns, that they understand how those can be addressed safely."

Hereford chairman Andrew Graham added Ruth will add considerable value to the club and would like to thank her for agreeing to take on this often-difficult role on our behalf, in a voluntary capacity.
