Speaking after yesterday's friendly against TNS, Hereford assistant manager Steve Burr was full of praise for defender Jamie Grimes.
"He's good player," said Burr.
"We're delighted to get him on board and he's got a bit of experience with him now.
"He's one along with one of two of the other experienced lads we will need during the season.
"And we were missing a few today through injury, that part and parcel of pre-season picking up injuries.
"We've got Lenny, Toe, Dan Jones and Ben Pollock who is still struggling a bit.
"Demi seems to be struggling from week to week with little niggles which isn't good but hopefully we'll get through it and they will all be back and ready to go when we start."
With those currently out added to the eleven that started today the squad would look quite good?
"It looked good today but what we have to do is make sure that we have that on a regular basis.
"Josh and I know that we've still got a lot of hard work ahead from where we want the squad to be but that's the beauty of the pre-season."
Finally any signings likely in the next few days?
"We'll have another look this week and see where we are at. We've still got a bit of time so there's no real rush with anything but I'm sure if there are people that we want to try and bring in then we'll try and do that within the budget of what we are working on and do our best with it.
"That's all we can do."
