Hereford FC's former head of the academy Andy Bevan has released a personal statement.
'Obviously since the academy was closed and my time at the football club has come to and end, I just wanted to say that whilst unfortunately the five year plan that we started only lasted nine months I still had a great experience and enjoyed my time at the club.
I'd like to thank all the players and coaching staff from our under8's all the way to, and including, the 1st team squad. This also includes the wonderful office staff that I've worked with and their endless enthusiasm and commitment to the club.
I personally have experienced the lowest of the lows in the loss of one of my own boys in Kieran Joyce back in September, to some incredible highs and some of these memories will stay with me for a long time. From helping with community projects, coaching Academy sessions and also the 18's magical record-breaking youth cup run, to also assisting in the first team both training and on match days - the highlight of this was the New Year's Day win over local rivals Kidderminster with the added pleasure of one of our own making his debut in goal.
I'd like to also thank all of the four managers that helped me along the journey and I wish them all the best going forward, but finally a special thank you to our superbly loyal supporters (of which I am one as well) as without these brilliant fans we are absolutely nothing. I'm sure good times will be around the corner soon.
For me now I'm looking forward to the next chapter in my coaching and managing journey wherever that may take me.
All the best, stay safe and thank you.'
