Graham Turner was now the majority shareholder at Edgar Street, and combined the role of manager/chairman. The season was a struggle on and off the pitch, and after having to cut the wage bill by 1/3 this was to be expected. Losing to Newport IOW in the FA Cup was a huge financial blow.
