Not surprisingly the top two clubs in the National North favour an average points per game as a basis for sorting out who goes up and down from the league. Leaders York have already released a statement which asks for a points per game basis.
"Throughout the process, York City FC has put forward a strong case to see promotions honoured and will continue to do so until a decision is made.
"Ending the campaign sitting at the top of the league and having endeavoured to play as many games as possible during the season, when it comes to voting on the sporting outcomes of the 2019/2020 league results, we are confident that the league and other clubs will take this key aspect into account."
Second placed Kings Lynn has also said they would support the idea.
However other clubs, including those faced with relegation, may ask to declare the season void.
Whatever the outcome it's highly unlikely that Hereford FC will be much affected. Currently they are 15th in the table. If a points per game system is decided the Bulls may drop one place to 16th.
