In his post match interview after the goal-less draw at Kettering last night, Hereford's interim manager Josh Gowling admitted that he wasn't happy with the state of the pitch.
"The pitch is a leveller," Gowling told the Hereford media.
"To be honest I'm a bit annoyed with the pitch. It's a disgrace.
"For this level of football I don't know how they play on it every week.
"But the lads dug in, they were solid, we were well organised, we had some good chances in the game and I thought we could have nicked it at the end. That's a real positive.
"Seven points out of three games is a real plus especially away from home.
"We don't want to be direct, we don't want to be long but we had to do that in spells because of the pitch. The lads were really commendable with their efforts.
"We've had York which is a nice pitch, top of the league, then we've had Farsley which a bit of a wobbley pitch, then we've had this one today.
"We said before the game it didn't matter about the pitch, it didn't matter about the Farsley pitch, we went out and got a result and we put a shift in. I said to the lads if we did that we'll get a result here and, to be fair, they've put a good shift in but disappointing we haven't won the game."
Gowling made three substitutions during the game. However two were as a result of Mooney and Anderson feeling their hamstrings.
"We've got targets we want to hit so I brought on Rowan at half-time and then Finn. Jevan struggled a bit so I brought on Keiran. But we want to win games of football that's what we're about and I felt we were a better team than them so I wanted to finish the game off.
"Finny did well when he came on, Keiran did well and Rowan, especially the first ten minutes of the second half he had a good few chances and the goalie pulled off a great save."
Kettering gave Hereford some problems with long throw-ins.
"It was good that we had Lennie and Rowan, big lads, but the lads dealt with it really well. They cleared everything, they got on the second balls as well and it was really pleasing to watch."
Liburd was unlucky not to score.
"He's picked it up deep and gone all the way and the goalie has pulled off a great save. He pulled off a couple in the game and you're thinking you are going to win the game.
"It's a squad game and we've had a few injuries and the lads that have come in have done excellent and it shows we are all buying in as a squad not just the eleven."
