A sweet strike by Josh Clackstone following good build-up play from Danny Elliott saw the home side take the lead in the 31st minute.
Prior to the goal, Hereford went close on a couple of occasions. Rowan Liburd fired over in the 14th minute before Tommy O'Sullivan went close two minutes later.
