Slade Poll Result

The majority of supporters who voted in a Bulls News poll believe that Russell Slade should not remain as manager of Hereford FC.

Despite winning three out of his five first games, the Bulls have only won once in National League in the past three months under Slade's tenure and failed to beat bottom club Bradford (Park Avenue) at home on Saturday. That left them just six points above the relegation zone.

Following the Bradford game - which only attracted an attendance of 1,586 - we were asked to run the poll. Out of 832 votes cast on our Twitter page, 58% said that Slade should not remain as manager, while 57% out of 422 votes on Facebook voted the same way.

If results continue to be poor, causing attendances to decrease, it will put a lot of pressure on the board to sell season tickets and advertising boards for next season, meaning that a reduced football budget will be in prospect.

However, some supporters believe that Slade has had to work with a poor squad after replacing previous boss Marc Richards and needs more time to properly assemble his own squad before being judged.

They also feel that Hereford will be ill-advised to make another managerial change following the sackings of Pete Beadle and Richards in the past 16 months and whether they can afford to, and are sceptical as to who would replace Slade at this stage of the season should he depart the club.
