It appears that an allotment association is holding up Kettering's move to a new ground.
After leaving Rockingham Road in 2011, the club has played at Latimer Park which it shares with Burton Latimer.
The local council has agreed to sell 'French's Field' to the club but the land was originally designated for allotments so agreement is needed from both the allotment association and the Govenment for the sale to go ahead.
"It is just something that is a curveball that has added to the process
rather than jeopardise it," said Kettering chairman David Mahoney.
"I’m impatient, so I would have liked the
sale to have gone through yesterday, but we are working together with
the council and the allotment association.
"When we told fans about the
plan we said it would take from four to six years to come to being and,
so now a year on, we say between three and five years to have the club
back in Kettering."
Hereford travel to Kettering on Saturday.
