Hereford FC manager Russell Slade is being quoted at 8/1 to become the next Carlisle manager. He has been in charge at Edgar Street for two and a half months to date.
Carlisle, who are currently 19th in League Two, sacked manager Steven Pressley this morning after just ten months at Brunton Park.
"We understand the challenges and have supported him throughout, but
we haven’t seen evidence of progress we expected or needed to see," said Carlisle chairman Andrew Jenkins.
“This is not something we can allow to continue, so sadly it is time to change, move on and look forward."
