Alfreton manager Billy Heath was very pleased with his side's win at Edgar Street on Tuesday night given all the injury problems he has had recently.
"The lads were tremendous all night from start to finish," said Heath.
"We had a great start, got the goal we deserved.
"Conceeded a bit of a cheap one. Again it was an own goal.
"I thought the players were fabulous all night.
"We've had a tough time of it lately, we've got a lot of players missing, squad is really thin, but once again they dig in, once again they pull out a big result.
"We shouldn't really be beating Hereford.
"When you think about it it's more like Watford winning at Liverpool really.
"The standing of the club, what resources they've got, the crowd and everything else and you have a group of players that have been on a bad run, confidence not at its best but we roll our sleeves up and were superb.
"I'm really proud."
