After this afternoon's goal-less draw with Hereford in the FA Cup, Tamworth managers Andrew Danylyszyn and Gary Smith gave their thoughts about the tie to the Tamworth media.
"Fantastic game to play in with all the hype of the FA Cup and being a home game as well," said Smith.
"And with the opposition we were playing there was going to be a lot of hype around this game with them being from a higher league and having a good history, good pedigree behind them.
"It was a good advert for the FA Cup and we're in the hat for the next round although we haven't got the result we wanted.
"We go back for a replay on Tuesday.
"Ulitimately proud of every single one of the boys for a fantastic performance."
Danylyszyn then spoke about the few times Tamworth threatened.
"When we got behind their defence, if that falls we go 1-0 up.
"And right at the end Yafal had a shot which was blocked which looked like it was going into the far corner.
"But it was a really tight game.
"We had the better of the chances and they made it scrappy at times.
"It was one of them where maybe a little bit of the rub of the green and one of those chances would have gone in."
The interviewer said that Hereford would have to be at their best to beat Tamworth in the replay.
"We've evaluated everything that they do and we've prepared for them as we normally do," said Smith.
"Now they know what we're like, they'll know that we are going to be there or thereabouts with them for the whole duration of the game. So it's going to be another battle.
"I don't know if they will change their tactics or play a different style of football but we'll go there with the same desire as the boys have shown today and we'll go for it again."
