No More Misery - The Suffering Is Over

Tom Owen-Evans Celebrates A Goal For Hereford Against Nuneaton Last January
League sponsors Vanarama couldn’t be happier the new season is back ahead of Saturday’s big kick-off.

Most of us can pin-point the exact moment the misery set in. Saturday, April 27 - 4.50pm, or thereabouts.

It’s the date in the calendar us football fans find hard to talk about. Yes, the final kick of the season. It’s over, done. The wait stands in excess of three months.

We’ve suffered spending our weekends walking around B&Q, and wolfed down plenty of burgers at BBQs in these past 13 weeks as we keep ourselves occupied. Now we can almost hear those turnstiles click again.

But finally, the suffering is over. This weekend, it all returns. Football, our dear friend - how we’ve missed you!

There are a number of Vanarama National League North clubs to watch out for.

“Chester, Boston and York will be up there,” predicts Alfreton supporter Sam Ward.

“There are a lot of teams capable this year,” insisted Mark Eckersall, an Altrincham regular.  “York are fancied, Spennymoor will go again, Brackley just always seem to be there and Kidderminster must do better. Don’t discount Darlington either!”  (or Hereford - ed)

Vanarama have recently launched the National League Club Reward scheme to help fans back their club’s budget. Every time a fan takes out a brand new van lease with Vanarama or a brand new car lease with Motorama their club will earn £100 and you will receive £30 cashback.
