Tickets for Hereford's first National North League game of the season next Saturday, August 3rd, go on sale tomorrow (Monday). As ever they will be available both online and through the club shop. More details at https://www.herefordfc.co.uk/
The fixture against Spennymoor Town, who finished fourth last season but were knocked out of the play-offs, is expected to attract a reasonable crowd despite some supporters being on holiday.
The date is thought to be the earliest start to a season for Hereford for many years.
Yesterday Spennymoor were defeated by Harrogate 4-0. Former Bull James Roberts was in the Spennymoor starting eleven. Meanwhile Hereford defeated Aston Villa Under 23's 1-0.
Last season the corresponding fixture took place on September 29th. Hereford lost 3-0 in front of 2159.
Callum Sainty was sent off on 25 minutes.
'Manager' Ryan Green said afterwards that there were no positives from the game.
"A
bad day at the office, to go one-nil down to an individual error and
then going down to ten men just killed us off to be honest," said
Green."
