Lam's goal not enough as Cardiff Met bow out on away goals

Jordan Lam
Ex-Hereford FC player Jordan Lam scored for Cardiff Met tonight - but it was not enough as the Welsh side lost their Europa League Preliminary Round match against FC Progres Niederkornon on away goals.

Lam opened the scoring in the third minute with a header before Dylan Rees made it 2-0 from the penalty spot midway through the second half.

However, Mayron De Almeida pulled a goal back for Progres in the 73rd minute, which ultimately proved enough to send the Luxembourg side through after the match finished 2-2 on aggregate.

Former Hereford captain Joel Edwards also started for Cardiff Met.
