Who Will Replace Kinnersley?

Director Andrew Graham With The FC United Manager
With the confirmation that Hereford FC chairman Ken Kinnersley is to stand down on June 17th, the name of his replacement is expected to be announced a day or so beforehand.

It's thought the board may have already decided who the new chairman will be as Kinnersley had said some time ago that he wouldn't be chairman next season.

Currently Andrew Graham is vice-chairman and appears to be the supporters favourite to take over from Kinnersley.

However being chairman of the club takes a lot of time and not every director can give that committment especially given many of them have full-time jobs.

Kinnersley became a board member on January 1st 2017 and was immediately made chairman. In the previous year he was CEO of the club which was a paid position.

Directors are not 'paid' by the club and can not be employed by the club. This is why former director Martin Watson had to stand down when he became academy administrator at the club.

So it's quite possible that the board could have decided to 'bring in' someone with the required expertice to be chairman.

Whoever is appointed will need to lift the club's spirits after a disappointing season.
