Tim Harris, Head of Football at Hereford FC, has spoken about putting together a squad that can push for promotion next season.
Currently five players are on contract for next season and Harris says that talks with other players are taking place. The five are Tom Owen-Evans, Keiran Thomas, Josh Gowling, Kyle Finn and Rowan Liburd.
“It’s going to be a busy summer at Edgar Street as we look to put
together a squad that can push for promotion next season," said Harris as reported by the OS.
"We are all
acutely aware of the expectation a club of our size creates and our
ambitions are the same as the committed supporters who follow the team
with such passion, both home and away.
“After three successive promotions we completely understand why many fans were disappointed with the way things went on the pitch during the 2018/19 season, but the positive we can all take is that in the end we stayed in the National League North comfortably.
“Marc and I are determined to build a squad this summer that will not only win matches, but that will also play the type of football that fans want to see. We know what is required of us as we plan for next season and we completely understand that when the 2019/20 campaign starts, we are going to be rightfully judged on the way the team performs once we have the chance to build our own squad.”
