News today about two former Hereford United players. Firstly Adam Bartlett has decided to leave Your, secondly James McQuilkin is staying at Telford.
Bartlett's decision was expected.
"I was made an offer and I’ve met with (City assistant-manager) Micky
Cummins twice since the end of the season but, at my age, I felt that I
don’t want to be in the position every April where I’m chasing a
full-time deal in football," Bartlett told the Press.
"I’ve had an offer to take on a job with a
friend’s business, which I started last week, and, I think, me moving on
will represent the best for both parties."
Bartlett is to work part-time for kit makers Core 37.
Meanwhile McQuilkin has signed a one year deal at Telford.
“I’m very happy to be resigning Macca for the coming season," said manager Gavin Cowan.
"He’s
been not only a huge part of our on field work but he is also a brilliant character
to have around the place. He will bring even more to what we are hoping to evolve
to as we enter the new season."
