43 Different Players Used By Hereford FC This Season

Danny Greenslade Featured In Every Game
Hereford historian Ron Parrott has now completed his first-team stats for the season and in total, the Bulls fielded a remarkable total of 43 different players in all first-team competitions.

This is an unusual quantity and has only been exceeded twice in normal circumstances since the war. In 2011/12 under Jamie Pitman and Richard O’Kelly the Bulls fielded 46 and the season before it was 44 under Simon Davey and Jamie Pitman.

In the two seasons after the war, the club fielded no less than 80 in 1945/46 and 47 in 1946/47 but this was in the days of the de-mob centre at Credenhill and league players were passing through Hereford on their way back home and were allowed to “guest” at Edgar Street.

Re this season’s stats, there was only one ever-present in league matches and that was Danny Greenslade.
