Strengths And Weaknesses

FC United Manager Neil Reynolds
Some interesting comments on Hereford FC's season has been posted by the Football Manc Cave site.

In a preview of tomorrow's game at FC United, the site suggests that Hereford's inability to score goals might be tempered by the fact they have one of the better defensive records in the league.

'FC’s visitors on Saturday, The Bull’s, are currently sat in 18th place in The National League North table and are 5 points clear of safety, they will also be hoping for the three points in an attempt to ensure that they will be playing their football at this level, after being promoted last season when they were crowned Champions of the Southern League Premier Division. The Bull’s weaknesses occur upfront as they have the second lowest goals total in the league, with just five more than Nuneaton who currently sit bottom of the table having scored only 28 league goals.

However, a problem that Neil Reynold’s men may occur is getting past their oppositions back line as the Herefordshire side have the 8th best defensive record in the league, with six of the teams within that eight being those challenging for the playoffs.

Reynold’s confidence over these last two matches has quite clearly given the United faithful new hope for the remainder of the season, which sets Saturday’s match to be a thrilling encounter and could potentially lead to FC getting what will be only their second home win of the season.

This match is definitely not one to be missed!'
