Richards Glad ‘Solid’ Bulls Picked Up A Point

Head Coach Marc Richards said he was pleased Hereford were able to pick up a point at Leamington this afternoon, despite taking the lead twice in the game.

He felt both penalty decisions, with both sides scoring from the spot, were soft and after Leamington equalised in there final ten minutes to make the score 2-2, he was glad to get a point.

Richards said: "The boys were solid for the upmost today, a soft penalty for us and for them I thought, so it's just one of them. At 2-1 up you're hoping you can hang on but in the 84th minute their second went in.

"I'm glad we ending up getting a point out of it in the end."

There was a strong wind at the Phillips 66 Community Stadium which Hereford had some difficulties dealing with in the first half as they played against it.

Richards added: "It was really difficult conditions. It might not have been evident from the sidelines so much but actually out there was a hell of a wind going straight down the pitch.

"You saw that first half when we were trying to clear our box, they're use to it here and they play effective football in terms of being pretty direct and getting in the seconds.

"At times I thought we defended well, sloppy for their goal, the first one. Then the sending off has probably changed the game a little bit.
