James Waite, who has joined Hereford FC on loan until the end of the season from Cardiff City, is a 19 year old midfielder who can also play in a forward role.
Recently he has been part of the Cardiff squad that plays in the Professional Development League and was due to be in their squad away at Watford today. In eleven appearances this season he has scored five goals.
Three of those goals came in a 7-0 win over Colchester last December.
“It was great to see James Waite bag the three goals," said Cardiff's U23 head coach Jarred Harvey.
"He’s been
brilliant for us and today he deserved that match-ball. An outstanding
performance from him.”
Last month first team manager Neil Warnock included Waite in his squad that travelled to Gillingham for a third round FA Cup tie.
Waite's last appearance for the U23's was earlier this week in a league match at Bristol City which Cardiff lost 3-0.
Nicknamed 'Wedgie' the young Welshman joins former Cardiff City Academy players Tommy O'Sullivan and Theo Warton at Edgar Street.
