Martin Horsell, who has left Hereford FC by 'mutual consent', has tweeted his thanks to staff and supporters.
'Thank you for the overwhelming amount of support & messages from @HerefordFC supporters. Gutted to be leaving such a fantastic club.
'I would also like to thank @Peterbeads for an incredible journey at @HerefordFC , along with Bish, Jenks, @Evans2Rhys @JonnyEvs87 & Roger.'
Horsell was with the Bulls for three years. He joined from Yate in December 2015.
The keeper made his debut in an FA Vase tie against Brocton.
Afterwards manager Peter Beadle spoke about his performance.
"Clean sheet, he did
exactly what it said on the tin, why he's come here, he's got great
experience and he talks well and organises well.
"Obviously ideally last week would have been the perfect game to have got him involved in to start with as it was a lesser game.
"I think he looked a bit nervous which is understandable, his first game, debut, a massive game in the Vase but I thought he got into the game great, clean sheet and I'm sure he'll get better and better the more games he plays.
"Done a good job, hands looked good, pitched a couple over and took a couple of punches so I'm sure he'll be pleased with his days work."
Meanwhile former goalkeeping coach Rhys Evans has commented on Horsell's departure from Edgar Street:
'Thanks Horse, congrats on a fantastic Hereford career. Pivotal in the success of last few years and thanks for trusting me as your coach! I hope I get to take you through another pre-season one day!!'
