Hereford's Jordan Lam At Chester Last Tuesday |
Chester FC chairman David Harrington-Wright is disappointed with the recent attendances at home games despite the good form of the club.
Chester were without home games for a spell after water damage at their stadium but their gates are lower recently than at the start of the season.
The club sold just over 1000 season tickets and 2200 watched their first home game of the season. Recently gates are around 1700.
"We set a figure on the gate attendance and sold the season tickets and that money is in. The one variable that can be changed is people coming to the games who haven't got a season tickets and paying on the day.
"That's massive for us, and that's away fans as well. Even if people come just once or twice a season, come down as that £15 is gold for us, it really is.
"Obviously what has gone on over the past year or so, and even longer, has had a effect and it will take time for some people, but we're on a good run of form in the league and the bigger the crowd the more it helps the managers, players and football club."
