At his post match interview Peter Beadle confirmed that keeper Joslain Mayebi had joined the club but not before he had asked Martin Watson, the club's football secretary.
"Yes I think so," said Beadle
"Martin have we put that out about the goalie?"
Having been told yes Beadle then continued.
"We've signed Joslain Mayebi.
"He came in on Thursday and trained with us and did exceptionally well.
"He's currently a free agent and we just needed his clearance from South Africa which strangely enough came in - Beadle then asks Watson who replied 4.56 on Friday afternoon - after four or five days. We're still waiting on lads from Wales at the moment, four youth team players, it's been nearly three weeks now. But from South Africa we got clearance in a week.
"He's signed the paperwork today so he may be involved somewhere along the line on Tuesday.
"He's 31, he was at Goahead Eagles for two years, before that he was at Wrexham for three years in the Conference National."
Beadle was then told by Watson it was Royal Eagles.
"That's why he wasn't in South Africa then! So he's was at Royal Eagles.
"Sorry Martin -that's what you're there for, thank you for correcting me!
"So he's been there for the last two seasons. He's come back and wants to work in the UK again.
"So we've got two 30 plus goalkeepers with great experience.
"He still needs to do a bit of work to get really fit but he's not far off and we're glad to have him on board.
"I don't see him as a number two. I like two goalkeepers. Martin has the number one shirt at the moment but if anything happens to that and Jos gets his chance then it's up to Jos to keep him chance.
"What it means is that I've got two very good keepers who will push one another along and that will improve their game. But Jos will have to wait and be patient and wait for his chance to get into the team."
