Strong Squad Expected From Cardiff

Lance Smith played against Cardiff last year

It’s thought Cardiff will send a strong side to Edgar Street this afternoon with a number of first team players involved.

Hereford host an XI from the Premier League side who also have a game at Burton Albion.

When the sides met last summer, the three first team players made the trip were Welsh International Declan John, winger Craig Noone and midfielder Stuart O’Keefe.

Hereford manger Pete Beadle saidM "From what I gather speaking to Steve [Jenkins, Hereford assistant mananger], because he's organised this one, is that it's going to be an extremely strong squad.

"Under 23s and maybe three or four sent down from wherever the first team are training at the moment so it's going to be another really, really tough game for us.

"It's one that we need, we need these type of games now. Really looking forward to it, I know there was a great crowd here on Saturday and hopefully we can do the same again this Saturday.

"It'll be a nice and a good day, but it'll be another hard day for the players. Then we'll rest them up during the week and get them ready for that all-important big day."
