Newport County are the visitors to Edgar Street this afternoon for a pre-season friendly. It will be the first time the two clubs have met since the 2012/13 season when they were both in the Conference.
Manager Michael Flynn is expected to field a strong side including one or two trialists whilst Hereford manager Peter Beadle is expected to have a goalkeeper on trial amidst his squad.
“We’ve got to step it up now.
“Hereford have got some good players and they’ll be up for it.
“They’ll want to beat us but I’m mainly interested in getting the right physical outputs from the game and not picking up any injuries."
Flynn has added seven players to his squad so far.
