With Cardiff City currently second in the Championship, six points behind leaders Wolves, it could be the highest league attendance in Wales for 42 years when the two teams meet on Friday.
The current record attendance for a league game in Wales is 35,549. This was a game between Cardiff and Hereford United in April 1976.
The Bluebirds won the game between the Division Three promotion rivals 2-0, but both sides went to secure promotion.
On Friday, a crowd of over 30,000 is expected at the Cardiff City stadium. This is some 5,000 short of the current record which is unlikely to be broken for the foreseeable future as the stadium's capacity is currently 33,280.
