Gwladys the Bull takes a look ahead to tomorrow's game:
Tomorrow, Hereford welcome King's Lynn Town to Edgar Street for a top of the table clash in the Southern League Premier Division. The Bulls have put some daylight between themselves and their nearest promotion rival in recent weeks and will be looking to extend their advantage at the top to a possible 13 points with victory.
Pete Beadle was delighted with the professional performance at Gosport Borough midweek and was impressed with the intensity shown by his side throughout. With six clean sheets on the bounce, Hereford have worked themselves into a strong position since the previous meeting between these two sides.
It remains to be seen whether Beadle will restore leading marksman John Mills to the starting line-up against King's Lynn due to the pleasing nature of recent performances.
New recruit, Jennison Myrie-Williams, has now scored in each of his first two games in a Hereford shirt, Mike Symons bagged a brace himself on Tuesday night and Pablo Haysham had a fine game before being replaced by Jamie Bird.
Supporters seem pleased with the settled back four of Jimmy Oates, Ryan Green, Dara O’Shea and James Bowen and will be hoping that they can all remain fit for the final 12 games of the season.
It will be two weeks since The Linett’s last league fixture when they were narrowly defeated 1-0 away at Tiverton Town. This ended an 8 match unbeaten run that included the last-gasp victory over Hereford back in January. Hereford were 2-0 up at The Walks, but King's Lynn fought back with a fine second half performance to snatch all three points with goals from Michael Gash, Ryan Hawkins and Toby Hilliard.
King's Lynn manager - and former Norwich City fullback - Ian Culverhouse has done an outstanding job this season and should his side fail to catch the Bulls then they must be seen as favourites to secure promotion themselves through the play offs.
With ex-league players such as Michael Gash and Simon Lappin amongst their ranks, the Norfolk side have improved greatly on their mid-table league finish last season. After the Bulls, they have the second tightest defence in the league having only conceded 31 goals in their 35 games played.
Attacking right-back Cameron Norman has been an instrumental part of their success and has recently been attracting the interest of several football league clubs. The 22 year old has had a fine campaign and has recently committed himself to the club until at least the summer.
The game is sure to be a huge test for Hereford this weekend, but they will be hoping to exact revenge with the agonising 3-2 defeat still fresh in the memory. Both sides have plenty of quality and a decent game can be expected at Edgar Street.
King's Lynn are rumoured to be bringing a good following with them and with Hereford fans sure to come out in their numbers and support their side in this crucial match there will be a lively atmosphere come 3.00pm.
