It's A Third Championship We're Aiming For Said Beadle

In his post match interview with the local media Hereford manager Peter Beadle was asked about why some players didn't start against Royston this afternoon.

"Jennison had a slight knock on his calf this week so we felt it wasn't worth the gamble. The pitch was heavier than normal but we thought we'd keep him there in case we needed him last twenty minutes.

"As it was he wasn't needed so he's had a rest.

"Billy Murphy trained half a session on Thursday and didn't have any reaction but yesterday and today, I think it's a curse of the trade he does, he felt quite rough so we told him to stay away. Hopefully he'll be okay on Monday or next weekend."

Today's game was Beadle 100th win for Hereford (United and FC).

"I think someone said it included the previous eight games under the old banner so for me it's a nice landmark but it is two different football clubs but it's a nice one to reach.

"I think it's 129 games, 100 wins, 14 defeats and some of them were in the eight games we had as the Conference team.

"It's nice to have all these landmarks and things but it would be much nicer if there is a third championship there as well. That's the one we are aiming for."
