Hospitality At Edgar Street

This from Hereford FC:

Hereford FC’s Commercial Director, George Webb, has today invited interested parties to make contact with the club if they are interested in tendering to take on the bars and hospitality areas at Edgar Street.
The invitation comes after the club’s current Events Manager, James Smith, confirmed that he will be leaving his role at the end of the 2017/18 Southern League Premier campaign to concentrate on his other business interests.
Speaking earlier, Webb said:
‘James has worked incredibly hard over the past two and half years and has played a pivotal role in helping us run the bars and build an excellent reputation for the hospitality we offer here at Edgar Street.
‘His input was particularly vital both before and during our first campaign in 2015/16 because without his expertise and hard work, we may not have able to open the bars and hospitality facilities at the start of that first season.
‘Everyone here at Edgar Street would like to thank James for all his hard work and for the many occasions he has worked above and beyond his official responsibilities to help us make special events, such as the live feed of the FA Vase Semi-Final Second Leg at Salisbury, work so well. We all wish him luck as he concentrates on his many other business interests in the city, and we look forward to welcoming him to Edgar Street in a non-working capacity in the future.
‘We are also extremely appreciative of his offer to work with whoever takes over from him on a full handover so his knowledge and expertise about Edgar Street is passed on to his successor.’
James commented:
‘I have really enjoyed helping get Hereford FC off the ground, but a fourth season would mean another huge commitment and I think the time is now right for me to step away from the club and devote more of my energy to my other businesses.
‘I’d like to thank everyone at the club for the support they have offered me, but most importantly I’d like to thank every member of my staff who has helped out at Edgar Street since July 2015.
‘I hope that my last three months at the club are as memorable as all the previous ones have been and that when I hand over the reins to someone else, they will be taking on a club that is another step up the football pyramid.’
Anyone who’d like to express an interest in this fantastic opportunity at Edgar Street, or have an informal conversation about the role, is asked to email events@herefordfc.co.uk by Monday 12 February with all their details so club officials can get in touch and speak to them about their background.
