Four minutes after the restart, recent signing Orrin Pendley made it surely game over with a third for the home side.
Craig Daniel reduced the deficit 16 minutes from time and the Poppies missed a chance to make it even more comprehensive when Rene Howe missed a penalty after Connor Hall`s clip on Stevens.
The day ended badly for Biggleswade manager Chris Nunn as he was sent from the dug-out for his comments.

The home had to wait until the 67th minute to get the second goal, and it came from the penalty spot after sub Jordy Ngathe had brought down a Hereford player inside the penalty area, with John Mills converting the spot-kick.
The result was put beyond any doubt in the 73rd minute when Keyon Reffell hit a superb strike from the edge of the area down across Jack Harding into the far corner of the net.

And it was last-minute heartbreak for Boro in their 3-3 draw against Dorchester Town at Privett Park.
The home side had Harry Medway sent-off late in the first half. But goals from Craig McAllister after 28 minutes and Stephane Bombelenga right on half-time had seen Boro twice come from behind before the break after Archie Collins and Ed Bastick had scored for the Magpies.
Jason Smith then put Boro in front 10 minutes from time but the Magpies struck again through Gary Bowels in the last minute to earn a point.
