This from Farnborough FC:
On Saturday 3rd February, fellow phoenix club Hereford FC will visit
The Rushmoor Community Stadium, home of Farnborough Football Club for
an Evo-Stik League South Premier fixture.
With regular travelling support of approximately 500-600 fans, we are expecting it to be quite literally the biggest game of our 2017-18 season!
The two sides met back in mid-October with Farnborough FC, as underdogs, running out 0-1 away winners. It’s likely Hereford Football Club’s players and fans will make the long journey down from Herefordshire looking for a bit of revenge.
Farnborough Football Club manager Spencer Day has called on fans to pack The P.R.E and The Charles Mortimore Stands for the big match, in anticipation of what will be a very competitive fixture – with Hereford still chasing a promotion place and Farnborough, still very much the underdogs of the tie, looking to put in a positive performance.
Hereford FC is a phoenix football club that was formed to be the continuation of Hereford United after the original club was wound up in December 2014, a team who were playing League One football as recently as the 2008-09 season.
The new club, who are part owned by Hereford United Supporters Trust states that their long-term aim for the club is to progress back to the Football League as quickly as possible – but to do this they must run it in a sustainable manner, with the local community at the heart of everything it does.
Additional information Please note that this game is not segregated. Away supporters have been allocated the P.R.E Stand but this does not stop you from going elsewhere in the Stadium.
For this game, entry to the Cherrywood Bar will be via the Turnstiles only.
