It's Been An Amazing Journey Said Beadle

Speaking after this afternoon's 1-1 draw at Fleetwood in the FA Cup, Hereford manager Peter Beadle told BBC Five Live that it had been an amazing journey since Hereford FC started.

"We pride ourselves on our fitness, it's one of those things we tend to look after," said Beadle.

"Obviously it's a massive thing for us to be in the third round draw.

"I just said to them there I'm not sure they will look forward to coming back to Edgar Street.

"Racous atmosphere, probably a full house and hopefully a draw that will give us that carrot dangling for us to put on another good performance.

"Horsell had to make one or two saves, another couple flashed across the goal but we've defended stoutly.

"It was a shame we couldn't hold out to half-time. That would have been perfect for us. But it wasn't to be."

Reminded that the club is in it's third season, Beadle smiled

"It's been an amazing journey for us. The highs are fantastic. We've had a final at Wembley already, two promotions and now we were going into the draw for the third round of the FA Cup.

"If you had said that at the start of the season, we would been happy with the first round.

"For a club at our level to get into the third round draw is almost unimaginable."

Goalscorer Calvin Dinsley also spoke to Five Live.

"Everyone is buzzing.

"We just said let's get through the first twenty minutes, then get to half time and we'll just play it like that.

"Everyone was different class today and we knew we needed to be to get anything out of the game."
