Bath manager Jerry Gill has spoken about Billy Murphy moving to Hereford.
Last season he had travelled to Bath with Stuart Fleetwood but after Fleetwood was released travelling became more of a problem.
"Billy was struggling with the travel on his own and other bits and
bobs," Gill told the Bath Chronicle.
"We’ve been very good to Billy with some personal things as well
“Of course it’s disappointing when you lose a player of that quality, but it was right for both club and player that Billy moved on.
“We weren’t aware that he was going to sign for Hereford, I’ve got to be honest with that one. Certainly as a club, we carry ourselves with a bit of class and it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth if I’m being honest, but I don’t want to hone in on that, because that player’s not our player anymore."
