Back To Reality - Southern League Weekend Round Up.

Whilst Hereford were playing in the FA Cup at Fleetwood, as for most of the remaining clubs in the Southern League it was business as usual.

Here's a review written by Steve Whitney.

King`s Lynn Town moved four points clear at the top of the Evo-Stik League South Premier table after a 3-1 win at The Walks against play-off chasing Redditch United.

After Ashley Sammons had given the Reds a 36th minute lead, a brace of second half Michael Clunan penalties in the 63rd and 68th minutes turned the game on its head in front of 621.
Redditch`s new striker Stuart Fleetwood received a straight red card after a very late coming together with Ryan Hawkins and Cameron Norman added Lynn`s third 5 minutes from time.
Second-placed Weymouth were made to scrap for their win at the Bob Lucas Stadium against Chesham United.
In the end, in front of a crowd of 602, a goal from Abdulai Baggie in the 19th minute was all that separated the teams.
Tiverton Town moved up to third after they won by the odd goal in five at Ladysmead against Kings Langley, while Kettering Town were held to a draw not too far away at Frome Town.
In Kings` first visit to Tiverton, they led through Kieran Turner`s 25th minute effort.
Top scorer Levi Landricombe levelled 5 minutes later and 3 minutes after the break, gave Tivvy the lead.
But Steve Ward equalised 10 minutes later, only for Landricombe to complete hi hat-trick from the spot 11 minutes from time to win it for the Devonians.
Over the border in Somerset, Frome took a 14th minute lead through George Miller.
Aaron O`Connor equalised 10 minutes before the break to take the sides into half-time all-square.
The teams swapped goals within a minute in the second half, Jake Jackson for the hosts on 78 minutes and then O`Connor again for the Poppies, as the spoils were shared.
Hitchin Town moved up to seventh after a 1-0 Top Field win over second-bottom Dunstable Town.
The Canaries were made to fight by the Duns, with Tremayne Charles` goal 2 minutes into the second half proving decisive.
A Conor McDonagh goal a minute from time earned Banbury United a point at third-bottom St Ives Town.
Banbury fell behind in just the 3rd minute when goalkeeper Jack Harding slipped when clearing the ball and hurting himself and unable to get up, the ball going out to Rogan McGeorge who fired the ball home from 30 yards into an empty net.
However, in the 25th minute the Saints went 2-0 up when a cross from the right was headed home from the edge of the six yard box by new signing Ollie Snaith.
On 36 minutes United were back on terms after returning `keeper Tim Trebes was only able to parry the ball out to Jack Self who fired the ball home from six yards.
Banbury continued to push forward in search of an equaliser, but St Ives defended well when they had to and with time running out it looked as though the Puritans would be returning to Oxfordshire pointless but in the 89th minute Ricky Johnson flicked the ball on to McDonagh, who beat Trebes legs into the back of the net.
Royston Town were 3-1 Garden Walk winners over another of the strugglers, Dorchester Town.
The Magpies took a 20th minute lead through Tom Blair, but crucially, James Potton equalised a minute before half-time.
Josh Oyinsan then bagged a brace in the 72nd and 84th minutes to seal the Crows win.
There was also a brace for Liam Brooks as Biggleswade Town won 2-0 at Penydarren Park in front of 488.
Brooks` goals came within 5 minutes of each other midway through the second half.
Biggleswade`s neighbours St Neots Town also won on their travels, 2-1 at the ProKit Stadium against Bishop`s Stortford.
David Bridges gave the Saints an 8th minute lead that Jordan Westcott cancelled out after 31 minutes.
New signing Nabil Shariff won it for the visitors on his debut on 65 minutes.
Michael Taylor gave Stratford Town an early 2nd minute lead at home to Farnborough.
Nic Ciardini equalised in the 20th minute, but Ben Stephens` 66th minute second looked as though it was going to be Stratford`s winner.
But veteran Jamie Cureton popped up with an equaliser for Boro 3 minutes into stoppage time.
