Keyon Reffell On The End Of A Challenge From Eliot Richards Last August |
"We've showed an interest in Eliot for sometime," said Beadle.
"We tried to sign him in the summer and in fact we went in for him before we knew about the troubles at Merthyr.
"He's fit and wants to be playing and he'll bring another dimension to the team. Hopefully not too long for clearance."
Caerphilly born forward Eliot began his career at Bristol Rovers where
he made more than 100 appearances, before moving on to Tranmere Rovers,
Cheltenham Town, Tampa Bay Rowdies, and represented Wales at under 19
and 21 levels. Eliot also had loan spells at Exeter City and Bath City,
and joined Weston in the summer of 2016.
Whilst with Weston he went on loan to Merthyr in October 2016. In January 2017 he signed for Merthyr.
He spent the last pre-season training with Gloucester City and appeared
in friendlies for the Tigers, but started the campaign at Merthyr.
Meanwhile, the Hereford Times has confirmed that Cameron Pring isn't eligible for the FA Cup game, but fellow loanee Tyrone Duffus is.
