Local Teams Out of FA Cup

A quick rundown of the FA Cup games played so far. There are ten more ties to be played.

The biggest win so far is Slough Town's 6-0 win at National League North side Gainsborough Trinity. In the league, the Rebels have currently scored the most goals, and sit two points off the summit of the Souther Prem table.

Closer to home, there were defeats for Kidderminster, Cheltenham and Bristol Rovers, who all lost their respective games 4-2.

Notts County 4 - Bristol Rovers 2
AFC Fylde 4 - Kidderminster Harriers 2
Cheltenham Town 2 - Maidstone United 4

Some teams definitely through to the next round include Oxford City, Newport and Shrewsbury.

Colchester United 0 - Oxford City 1
Newport County 2 - Walsall 1
Shrewsbury Town 5 - Aldershot Town 0

On Friday, it wasn't to be for Hyde United as they were comfortably beaten 4-0 at home by MK Dons. Peter Beadle's son Matthew started for the Tigers, with the game shown live on the BBC.

Today, fellow step three sides Letherhead and Billericay face each other at 2pm. The match will be featured as part of the BBC's Final Score programme.

Also on the programme will be step four side Heybridge Swifts' game at Exeter City. 72 league places separate the two, but the Essex-based side have only lost once in their last 30 games, so could an upset be on the cards?

A full list of results (apart from Monday night's game between Chorley and Fleetwood) will be posted later.
