After this afternoon's goal-less Trophy game against Potters Bar at Edgar Street, Hereford manager Peter Beadle gave his reaction to the result.
"You look at their recent results they took Bath to a replay last year in the FA Cup, they beat Bishops Stortford in the FA Cup, they took Hampton and Richmond to a replay in the FA Cup and so they are used to coming and doing a job," said Beadle.
"We could have been out there for a game and a half and still not scored. Just one of those games. Plenty of possession, we moved the ball much better second half. We dominated the game for long periods, it just didn't fall for us.
"We lacked a bit of quality in the final third today. We were not quite at it final third, we spent too long in the final third which creates that space.
"We took a bit of time doing things which let them regroup and getbodies in the way. They defended great. So it was difficult to get a clear opportunity and when one does fall to John six or seven yards out you expect it to see the net. If he's putting it over the net from there, it's going to be one of those days.
"Lance nearly gets on the end of one from Jamie Bird at the end, another half a yard and he would have toed it in. But it wasn't to be our day.
"The lads efforts were spot on. Their football was decent second half but just in that final third we looked a little bit flat as in couldn't get the tempo right in that final third to create the clear-cut chances.
"It wasn't a poor performance by a long way. A bit like with Dunstable people probably expected it to be .. but like I said look what they've done in this year and last year in the Cups, they've done alright.
"It was eleven v eleven on the day but we are just disappointed we didn't get a final end product onto one of those balls.
"They all put a good shift in today. We don't really question their commitment so much because they work extremely hard.
"Horsell has had one shot down the middle first half and very little to do second half apart from the shot from which they should have scored. That's all he had to deal with I think.
"It wasn't a great performance, it wasn't a poor one either."
Does Beadle feel it will be easy on Tuesday at the replay?
"All we know is that we've got to go there and add that final touch to get the right result.
"They've played in a manner that's good, they've played hard, worked hard with their shape, got bodies in the way and we couldn't break it down today.
"So we've got to go there with the same commitment, same effort and just have that little bit of quality in the final third."
The home game set for Tuesday in the league will be postponed. Is Beadle worried about fixture congestion?
"It's what comes with the territory. If you win games in the FA Cup and Trophy then they will catch up with you at some point.
"It's not ideal because it means pushing another league game back but we are in the competitions and we don't want to lose because there is valuable prize money for us.
"We don't want to lose the games, that's why we've gone strong today.
"We'll do the same on Tuesday and then give the boys a rest before another tough game on Saturday."
