There is some speculation that Hereford manager Peter Beadle may be considering an offer to one or more Merthyr players given the situation at the Welsh club.
It's thought that all Merthyr's players are non-contract.
Given the current injury list at Edgar Street, Beadle remains on the look out for another couple of players despite the loan signings of Tyrone Duffus and Cameron Pring.
Why Merthyr find themselves with financial problems at present hasn't been made clear. Gates have recently dropped but that may not be the only reason.
According to 'Dial M For Merthyr' there is talk of a debt to HMRC and maybe £60K of other debts. The club also faces an employment tribunal instigated by a former CEO.
Meanwhile the club have confirmed that Duffus can play tomorrow as his international clerance has gone through.
And Pring is on a two month loan deal.
